Introducing San Diego Chiropractor Dr. Kyle Gilmour

Suffering from back or neck pain is one of the worst things that a person can go through. Believe me, I know. Sixteen years ago in college, volleyball was my life. That is, until one day I fell and severely hurt my hip. I can still remember the terrible pain down my leg. It was almost unbearable when I tried to walk, and after some time it didn’t seem to be getting any better. My medical doctor had me on some powerful drugs and physical therapy, but nothing was helping. As time passed I started to get pretty scared. I was just a young guy and I could barely walk. I felt like I was fifty or sixty. The thought of having to live this way forever terrified me.

San Diego Chiropractor, Dr. Kyle Gilmour

Finally, a friend of mine convinced me to give a chiropractor a try. The chiropractor did an exam, took some x-rays, and then adjusted my spine. The adjustment didn’t hurt; it actually felt great. After a few months of intensive care, I was completely pain-free and back to playing volleyball again. I didn’t know whether to thank my friend for recommending me to the chiropractor, or to scold him for not telling me sooner!

My chiropractic experience was so miraculous that I decided to become a chiropractor myself so that I too could improve lives and help direct people to drug-free and pain-free lives.

I obtained my undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Manitoba in Canada. The next four years I spent at Northwestern College of Chiropractic where my studies included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care. After graduating in 1997, I moved out to San Diego to begin my practice.

My practice is focused on maximizing the health and well-being of every individual and their family. The health of my practice members is my number one concern and I believe patient education is extremely important. It is my desire for everyone to understand how their bodies work and how they can keep them working at their best. As well as educating practice members about the amazing benefits of chiropractic care, we also offer many resources about nutrition, exercise, and healthy and natural lifestyles.
