Meet Dr. Tracy Marquez

Getting Out of the Rain and Changing Paths

When Dr. Marquez attended Fairleigh Dickinson College, she majored in biology with the intent of becoming a biomedical engineer.

A chance run-in with a chiropractic office, however, would change her path for life.

Though she had seen a chiropractor earlier in life from a fall, she hadn’t been educated about the philosophy or what chiropractic did.

Dr. Marquez stopped in to get out of the rain and walked out with a new job.

Working with a chiropractor made a tremendous impression on Dr. Marquez.

"Everyone looked forward to coming into the office and feeling better. The engagement between the chiropractor and the patient was so unlike that of a traditional medical doctor."

Chiropractic and Postgraduate Education

Dr. Marquez attended Life University to earn a Doctor of Chiropractic. She graduated in March 1993, first practicing in Telluride, Colorado before moving to Bernalillo. The continuing education she has undertaken includes seminars on the Webster Technique and certifications in animal chiropractic, sports chiropractic, and addictionology.

Staying Involved in Our Community

When it comes to health, Dr. Marquez believes that, if you want to talk the talk, you have to walk the walk.

She loves going to the gym, hiking, and doing yoga.

When Dr. Marquez isn’t being active or seeing patients, she can be found curled up with a good book or being involved with our community.

She volunteers at the community center, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Habitat for Humanity and goes to church every Sunday.
